Dr. Szylit established Kinnelon Dermatology Associates over 20 years ago with the goal of offering excellent compassionate medical care to patients of all ages. Dr. Szylit completed her undergraduate studies at The State University of New York at Stony Brook where she graduated Magna Cum Laude. She remained at Stony Brook to obtain her Medical Degree. Dr. Szylit moved on to the University of Pittsburgh/ Montifiore Hospital in Pennsylvania for her Internship in Internal Medicine and returned to Stony Brook for her Internal Medicine Residency. Dr. Szylit completed her research Fellowship and Dermatology Residency at Columbia University/ Presbyterian Hospital in New York where she remains as an Assistant Clinical Professor.

Dr. David Ciocon performs Mohs Micrographic Surgery as well as numerous Cosmetic Procedures in our office. He received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University (cum laude) and his M.D. from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. Prior to his Residency in Dermatology, he completed three years of a combined General and Plastic Surgery Residency training at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital as well as a one-year clinical research fellowship in psoriasis at Harvard University, Brigham & Women's Hospital. He subsequently completed his Dermatology Residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident and recipient of the Leo M. Davidoff Award for Excellence in Teaching. Dr. Ciocon then completed a Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Procedural Dermatology fellowship at Skin Laser & Surgery Specialists of New York and New Jersey. 

A board certified dermatologist, he is licensed in New Jersey and New York. He is a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery and the American Academy of Dermatology. He is a member of the American Society for Lasers in Medicine & Surgery, the American College of Mohs Surgery, and the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery. Dr. Ciocon currently serves as the Director of MOHs Micrographic Surgery and Procedural Dermatology at Montefiore Medical Center in New York. 

Ms. Casas-Brown has been actively practicing as a Certified Physician Assistant working exclusively in Dermatology since 2001.Ms. Casas-Brown graduated Cum Laude upon receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree from The Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education at The City College of New York. Her Physician Assistant Program was completed at Harlem Hospital Center in New York.Prior to joining Kinnelon Dermatology, Ms. Casas-Brown worked exclusively in Dermatology in Atlanta Georgia where she enjoyed treating patients of all ages. Her warm demeanor, compassion and excellent dermatological skills have made her a popular provider in the practice. Therese has an excellent rapport with children and teenagers and is often requested for afternoon and evening appointments. As with most PA's, Therese works in conjunction with the physicians in the practice with availability built into her schedule to allow for urgent needs to be met.
